Education
Kidney disease touches all backgrounds and ages; and in its early stages, has no noticeable symptoms. This is why our educational efforts are so important. We address three community needs: patient education, public education and organ donation awareness.
Patient Education
- We provide free printed and web-based education materials to help patients and their family members understand chronic kidney disease.
- We host two annual Patient Education Conferences offered free-of-charge to kidney patients and a family member.
- 2011 Patient Education Conferences will be held in the fall in Birmingham & Mobile.
- We produce Kidney Keynotes, a quarterly newsletter. If you would like to receive this informative newsletter, click HERE.
Public Education
- Provides free resources for community & corporate health fairs, churches, and other community organized entities.
- Provides in-home testing materials to high-risk groups for early detection.
- Produces free printed and web-based educational materials. Click Here to see our Patient Education Conference archives.
